Once we've taken care of our expenses, we funnel every last dollar back into the community. Who needs an Elon Musk-sized bank account anyway when so many people could use a helping hand? Do you know all those folks who claim they started a company to make a difference? Well, we're going to make a difference. Let's put our money where our mouth is, folks! Skate Angry will support other nonprofits focusing on cars, homes for those in need, and many other great causes. We're already contributing to local homeless shelters and organizations that provide meals for those who are hungry. We've already started giving back with our own money. If we're going to run a business that gives, why not start now? Let's do this together! into a remarkable business venture dedicated to Skateboarding into a business with a We sat down with Jamie for a quick interview - Why do you do what you do? My why is all about transforming the community. It's about giving back, ya know? Beyond that, I wear many hats — speaker, author, and even ex-drug addict. I've lived a wild and fascinating life, to say the least. Now, I'm not saying mine's the worst, or others haven't had it rough, but trust me, my story is something else. People are like, "Wait, that's you? I can't believe it!" Well, I'm glad you don't see that side of me anymore. But let me tell you, Skate Angry came about because we were all skaters, and I had this idea 30 years ago. I thought, "Why not?" As I was chatting with my accountant Renee, she had some brilliant ideas, too. We had all these plans to give back and run it as biblically as possible. Our employees we will work 'em for six years, then give them a whole year off and still shell out their salary. How's that for a plot twist? How did you get the idea for your business? Around three decades ago, my buddies and I were hanging out. They were already into skateboarding, while I had never tried it before. They were transitioning into this new trend called inline skating or rollerblading, and I thought, "Cool, let's give it a shot!" All these wild stories about them crashing into cars, people, and whatnot. So, I joined in, and boy, did I wreck a lot! But I never gave up. I would skate like lightning, jumping off curbs, hitting things, zooming over ramps, and avoiding people. Once, a friend said, "Dang, Jamie, don't skate angry!" And I thought, "Hey, that could be a wicked name for a clothing or skateboarding line!" But life took us on different paths. Two of us fell into drug addiction, one got married, and sadly, the addicted friend ended his own life. So, the idea of Skate Angry stayed put.

JOIN THE MOVEMENT!!!

About March 2023, when I was sitting on my couch and thought, "I should start Skate Angry!" And then I felt it again, "I should start Skate Angry!" So, I reached out to my friend, who is my accountant, and we got everything set up - the trademark, the product, all that jazz. And that's how we came up with the name "Perfect." Now, you may be wondering what exactly we do at Skate Angry. Well, it's more than just providing products to skaters—the products we sell fund everything we do. Instead of asking people for donations (because, let's face it, people don't like giving away money), we offer fantastic products that skaters love to buy. What is the most significant event that ever happened to you? One pivotal moment in my life was when I embraced Christianity, but the events leading up to it were quite a rollercoaster. Let me set the scene: I was deep in the throes of addiction, shooting whiskey directly into my veins. Yeah, it was that bad. And then, out of the blue, my girlfriend dropped a bomb on me. She called me up, only five minutes after our last shot, mind you, and said, "Guess what? I'm pregnant. Oh, and by the way, I'm leaving you for your best friend." Can you imagine the shock on my face? It felt like my brain was short-circuited. But amidst the haze, I knew one thing: my daughter deserved a better father than I had growing up. That's when I made a life-changing decision. I dabbled in drugs a couple more times to say goodbye, you know? But after that, I was completely clean. No rehab, no withdrawals. I guess you could say I was just fed up. And that, my friends, is how a single moment can change your life. Do you offer any discounts? Do you have a tagline or motto? Skate Angry is all about respect, integrity, and discipline, but it's not your average kind. It's about respecting yourself, showcasing integrity for the sport, and having the discipline to push beyond limits. We're not here to challenge the skating community, oh no! We're here to push them to exceed their own potential. I mean, they're definitely not scum or punks, but hey, there's always room for improvement, right? Absolutely! Let's kickstart a movement with Skate Angry and have people proudly say, "I'm part of something extraordinary. I'm better because I'm part of this." That's the wave we're riding. Let's do this!
